We have a building permit!

So, at long last, we actually have our building permit. I got home last night to a message on voicemail from noon saying that it was ready for pickup, so this morning I walked over to Town Hall to pick it up.

And then I walked home to get my cheque book. Turns out they don't take Visa.

And then I walked back, and got my building permit!

So tonight we are madly removing everything from the garage, because the builder is ready to go tomorrow. Yikes! Our neighbours were out walking their dog as I arrived home from work and I asked them if they could use an old dishwasher, or some cupboards. It turned out they could, in fact, use some cupboards! No luck with the dishwasher, though :)
